The master's thesis deals with a project of the steel structure of a residential building. The building is thought like sevenfloor balcony-access house. The access balcony is situated in atrium in the middle of the building, which is roofed with a shell dome. The regular hexagon creates a ground plan of each floor. Every floor is turned 30 degrees compared to the next floors. The longest cross dimension is 43 m (axial). The height of the building is 30,4 m (including copula envelope). The final structure is chosen on the basis of optimization of the structural variants. The climatic load angle structure falls into the locality of the town Brno. The vertical supporting structure is made from steel-concrete accoupled circular section columns. The floor structure is designed from the steel rolled section I and H. These support assembly of a horizontal structure. Some joists and girder are designed like accoupled with a concrete floor slab. The copula above atrium is made from glue laminated timber ribs. Infill rods are from steel tube. The top ring of copula is designed from the rolled section UPE.

Townhouses on the outskirts of Brno
Kopačka, Daniel ; Šubrt, Jan (referee) ; Dulenčín, Juraj (advisor) ; Pěnčík, Jan (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis follows up on a studio project, that i made in my second year of the bachelor's study, Townhouses on the outskirt of Brno. Labor contains Plans for the building permit and Structural documentation. Area of interest is located in Brno - Li´šeň, on the right side, there's Ondráčkova's street, and an abandoned slaughterhouse on the other side. The main idea of my project is, to create two identical buildings, that will perfectly fit into the land and surroundings. By placing these two, into opposite corners of the land, there will be created a fine corner of Ondra´čkova's street and Zla´manky. At the same time, buildings will create direct and let's say "natural" way to the underground parking lot. People, who will visit park, will also have very usefull noise barrier from both sides. Designed buildings contain three above-ground floors and one underground floor, which connects both townhouses by tunnel. Each townhouse contains a total of five housing units, each one with different size. Designed buildings are installed in a way, to keep balance between modern industry and pure nature. First building is more dominant, so it can define the corner of both streets and the second one is less expressive, so it will fit with buildings next to her. Structurally, the townhouses are designed of the Porotherm system and reinforced concrete structures. The main goal of the work is to create modern housing on the suburbs, which will not disturb close neighborhood.

Vavrová, Lenka ; Tomášová, Klára (referee) ; Dulenčín, Juraj (advisor)
The assignment of the bachelor's thesis is the design of a motel building for truckers in India. The work is based on the architectural study of the subject BGA026 and the structural study of the subject AG036 Complex project. The theme is based on the assignment of the international architectural competition from 2022 called On the way. The proposed area is located in the city of Kannadi, in the state of Kerala, in close proximity to the highway - Highway 544. These are 3 unused parcels. The goal of the assignment is to create a short-term accommodation facility, a pleasant environment and a place to rest for truck drivers after a long and tiring journey. It should provide space for sleeping and possibly eating. The main entrance to the area is located from the south from the driveway. The proposed building has 2 above-ground floors and an adjacent parking lot for cars, larger and smaller trucks. The building is specific for its floor plan shape, inscribed with a circle in a square. The social space with a view of the atrium with greenery, which is a typical element in Indian architecture, should make the guests' stay more pleasant. The exterior of the building is enlivened by an offset colored fiberglass facade, which is the object of an architectural detail. The color of the facade corresponds to the traditions of the locality.
